The Ethics Committee in Biomedical Research at the University of Health Sciences – Vietnam National University (UHS – VNUHCM) was established in October 2024 under Decision No. 380/QĐ-KHSK dated 10^th October 2024 by the President of the University of Health Sciences – Vietnam National University. The Committee has been granted the operation code IRB-VN01.017 by the Department of Science, Technology and Training, Ministry of Health, on 23^rd January 2025.

The Committee operates under the Regulations on Organisation and Operation of the Ethics Committee in Biomedical Research at the University of Health Sciences – VNUHCM, as set out in Decision No. 381/QĐ-KHSK dated 10^th October 2024 by the President of the University.

Biomedical research projects will be evaluated by the Committee in accordance with the ethical review procedures stipulated in the Guidelines on Ethical Aspects in Biomedical Research (HĐĐĐ/QT.01), issued on 31^st December 2024.
