University of Health Sciences – Vietnam National University-Ho Chi Minh City Visits and Works with Vinmec Central Park International Hospital

On the morning of 28th October, 2025, a delegation from the University of Health Sciences – VNUHCM visited and worked with Vinmec Central Park International Hospital to discuss and implement cooperative activities in training and academic research.

Attending the meeting, representing the University of Health Sciences – VNUHCM were Prof. Dr. Phan Bach Thang – President, along with the Board of Presidents and Leaders of Departments and Faculties. Welcoming the delegation, on the side of Vinmec Central Park International Hospital, there was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Thuong Dung – Director of the Cardiology Center, along with representatives of specialised departments.

Speaking at the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Thuong Dung stated: The cooperation agreement between the two units was signed in 2024, when the University of Health Sciences – VNUHCM was still the School of Medicine – VNUHCM. This meeting serves as an opportunity to realise the signed terms, opening up many directions for cooperation and sustainable development in the coming time.

Representing the University of Health Sciences – VNUHCM, Prof. Dr. Phan Bach Thang highly appreciated the Vinmec hospital system – one of Vietnam’s leading advanced hospital models in terms of facilities, management, and service quality. Cooperating with Vinmec Central Park International Hospital is a valuable opportunity for the university to learn from modern medical management models, while simultaneously expanding cooperation in clinical training, exchanging human resources, and aiming for the common goal of training high-quality medical human resources to serve community healthcare.

The meeting also recorded many opinions exchanged by leaders of departments and faculties from both sides, agreeing to leverage each unit’s strengths to concretise cooperation contents. Specifically, the hospital aims to cooperate in clinical training for the university’s graduate students, strengthen coordination in training and research in the fields of Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, etc., and expects that students of the University of Health Sciences – VNUHCM, after their practice period at the hospital, can stay and work at the hospital.

The working session concluded in a cordial, open atmosphere with high consensus, demonstrating the determination of both units to continue expanding cooperation and mutual development. Both parties plan to hold a meeting to summarise and evaluate the results of cooperation after one year to draw experiences and orient expansion in the next phase.
