University of Health Sciences – Vietnam National University-Ho Chi Minh City and Daegu Haany University (Korea) Implement Cooperation Activities

On the afternoon of 30th October, at the YA1 Administrative Building, the University of Health Sciences – VNUHCM (UHS – VNUHCM) held a working session with Daegu Haany University, Korea (DHU) and signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the Industry-Academy Cooperation Foundation of Daegu Haany University (DHU – IACF). This is one of the activities to realize the terms signed in the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between UHS – VNUHCM and DHU in April 2025, while simultaneously implementing items in the K-MEDI Silk Road project.

Attending the ceremony, representing the University of Health Sciences – VNUHCM, were Prof. Dr. Phan Bach Thang – President, along with Leaders of Departments and Faculties.

On the side of Daegu Haany University, there was the presence of Prof. Dr. Park Soo-Jin – Vice President in charge of University-Industry Cooperation, and associates.

At the ceremony, Leaders of both units expressed their honor and joy as the friendly cooperative relationship between the two sides is increasingly strengthened and developed. Representatives of both parties also introduced their fields of operation and strengths; simultaneously agreeing on cooperation contents in the coming time, focusing on joint research, technology transfer, and commercialisation of scientific products.

According to the agreement, the two units will implement many cooperation activities such as coordinating joint research projects, exchanging experts, transferring technology, and student exchange programmes.

This signing demonstrates the sustainable cooperative relationship between the two units, opening up many development opportunities in the fields of Health Sciences and applied Biotechnology.

Daegu Haany University (DHU) is one of the prestigious private universities in Gyeongsan – Daegu, Korea, outstanding in the fields of Traditional Korean Medicine, health – welfare, and applied sciences. Established in 1980, DHU is currently developing strongly with a wide international cooperation network.

DHU – IACF is the focal point for promoting University – Enterprise – Research Institute cooperation, playing the role of organising and supporting research and development, incubating human resources, promoting technology transfer, and linking local businesses, thereby creating an innovation ecosystem linked to industrial needs.
