With over 15 years of development from its origins as the School of Medicine – Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, the University of Health Sciences – Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City has provided more than 1,000 doctors and pharmacists to the healthcare sector, gradually asserting its position as a prestigious training centre in the field of health in Vietnam.

Entering a new phase, officially becoming the eighth member university of Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City as of June 2024, the institution aims to expand its scale, enhance the quality of education, and build its brand based on core values: Humanity – Professionality – Dynamic – Creativity.

In line with this strategic vision, the university has officially launched its Mascot “Voi Vui Vẻ” (Joyful Elephant) – a new symbol that brings positive energy, friendliness, and connection.

Inspired by the elephant, which represents wisdom, kindness, and good fortune, the mascot “Voi Vui Vẻ” is depicted in a vibrant, adorable manner that is easily approachable. The mascot embodies the spirit of students in health sciences: a commitment to continuous learning, sharing love, and bringing joy to the community.

With its friendly and cheerful image, “Voi Vui Vẻ” is expected to participate in recruitment activities, student events, internal communications, and community programmes, serving as a bridge between the university, students, parents, and society.

The introduction of “Voi Vui Vẻ” not only marks a significant step in the brand development of the University of Health Sciences but also represents an ongoing commitment to innovation in education, community engagement, and the creation of an inspiring, humane, and modern learning environment.
