University of Health Sciences Successfully Conducts First Postgraduate Entrance Examination of 2025

On 8th June 2025, the first postgraduate entrance examination for the year 2025 was conducted with rigour and professionalism at the examination centre located at 268 Lý Thường Kiệt Street, Ward 14, District 10, Ho Chi Minh City.

This examination saw 266 candidates participating in the entrance test for the Specialist Doctor Level 1 (BSCKI) programme across five specialisations: Internal Medicine, Surgery (General Surgery and Cardiothoracic-Vascular Surgery), Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics, and Otorhinolaryngology.

The examination was executed with utmost security and integrity across all stages. From the transportation of examination papers to the opening of the sealed examination containers, all processes were conducted under stringent supervision by law enforcement authorities, ensuring the confidentiality and security of the examination content. An inspection team from the Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, also visited the venue to monitor and oversee the proceedings.

Throughout the examination, no incidents were reported, and both invigilators and candidates adhered strictly to the examination regulations. This reflects the thorough preparation and meticulous management by the examination board, as well as the professionalism demonstrated in the organisation of the event.

MBA. Nguyễn Hoàng Dũng, Vice President, Vice Chairman of the Admissions Board, and Head of the Examination Committee, noted that the number of candidates registering for this year’s examination exceeded that of previous years. The university meticulously screened, verified, and evaluated candidates’ applications in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health, ensuring that all eligible candidates were able to participate.

It is noted that in 2025, the university plans to admit 276 candidates for the Specialist Doctor Level 1 programme, with admissions conducted in two sessions. The second session is scheduled to take place in the third quarter of 2025.

Postgraduate training, initiated by the University in 2023, is a cornerstone of its strategic development plan, aiming to establish the institution as a leading centre for postgraduate training and research in Vietnam. The University’s postgraduate programmes are designed to integrate theoretical learning with practical training. Students undertake their studies at prominent tertiary hospitals, including Từ Dũ Hospital, Children’s Hospital 1, Thống Nhất Hospital, Otorhinolaryngology Hospital, and Bình Dân Hospital, among others.
