INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC WORKSHOP ON MENTAL HEALTH: “PROMOTING MULTIDISCIPLINARY COLLABORATION IN ASSESSMENT AND INTERVENTION FOR CHILDREN WITH NEURODEVELOPMENTAL DISORDERS”

On 9th October, 2025, University of Health Sciences – VNU-HCM, collaborated with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities – VNU-HCM, and domestic and international partners to organize the International Workshop on Mental Health titled: “Promoting Multidisciplinary Collaboration in Assessment and Intervention for Children with Neurodevelopmental Disorders.”

This event provided a forum for domestic and international speakers, including Pedagogy, Humanities, Social Sciences, and medical experts—to share research results and achievements in applying new, multidisciplinary knowledge and methods for the prevention, early detection, and mental health intervention for children and adolescents.

The prominent highlights included inter-sectoral coordination; multi-dimensional cooperation ranging from policy, management, teacher training, and student curricula to multi-level interventions; and especially the close collaboration among the school, family, and society.

Prof. Dr. Dang Van Phuoc, Honorary President of the University of Health Sciences – VNUHCM, delivered the opening speech. He affirmed that this workshop is a specific and practical contribution aimed at actualizing the directives of the Politburo in Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW regarding breakthrough solutions to strengthen the protection, care, and enhancement of public health, thereby creating positive change to improve the overall health of the population.

This activity is also an important part of the cooperation program between the University of Health Sciences and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, designed to gradually strengthen interdisciplinary connections in training and scientific research within the health sciences field.
